Fantasy Premier League Tips For Week 1: Pick Chelsea And Arsenal Forwards, Promoted Teams Have Handy Midfield Options

Share

The scourge of every football fan is back and we are not talking about the Premier League taking away all our sleep, in fact it is the Fantasy Premier League returning for another season of hard struggle and labour as you try to make the one team which can get you those huge points and shoot you up the league.

There are a lot of permutations and combinations to take up and we provide 5 tips for this week to help you score a few more points and gloat till the next weekend.

Avoid Liverpool players and get Stoke players in

The ghosts of Christmas past will not be exorcised after just one game, Liverpool travel to Stoke City and everyone remembers what happened to the team in the last game of the previous season. Liverpool are a completely new team and will take time to gel and you can be sure of Stoke City having a real go at the Merseyside club and could end up with all three points against the Reds.

Bournemouth’s goal-spree

Bournemouth might be a new team on the horizon but they have played some brilliant football last season and are one of the favourites to survive this season. They are up against Aston Villa, who could be one of the teams going down, based on some pundits. A new season, playing at home for a newly promoted side, the club could be on their way to win the game and get some points for you. The likes of Matt Ritchie, Callum Wilson could be the best bargain buys this season.

David Silva in the team

One of the star signings that everyone should think about keeping in their team is David Silva, the Spaniard will be at the heart of everything that is good at Manchester City and should provide a lot of points in the first game week. He has looked incredibly sharp at the start of the season and playing with the likes of Sterling, Toure and Aguero, he could dish out points left, right and centre.

Hazard in

Eden Hazard should be in your team, it is that simple, especially this week since he is up against Swansea City, at Stamford Bridge. It will be expected that Chelsea start their season off with a bang and what better way than for Hazard to plunder the Swans and get his name on the score sheet.

Get on the Walcott express

Theo Walcott looks like a new player and that would be great news for FPL players and Arsenal fans. Theo looks like he has recovered from his injury and is fully fit to take on West Ham at The Emirates and that would be something of a worry for West Ham supporters.
