Fantastic Hazard: The Best And The Worst Rated Chelsea Players vs Everton

Share

Chelsea hosted Everton on Saturday night and the hosts continuee their fine run of form. A double from Eden Hazard inspired Chelsea to the summit of the Premier League table, following Manchester City’s draw with Middlesbrough. Added to Hazard’s brace, Chelsea also scored through Diego Costa, Pedro and Marcos Alonso to give them a comprehensive 5-0 score line at the end of the game.

FORMATION – 3-4-3

Thibaut Courtois– 6

Had next to nothing to do as Everton failed to pose any kind of threat. The Merseyside team had one shot and even that was off target.

Cezar Azpilicueta– 6

Was resolute in his defensive duties. Continues to enjoy his new role in a 3-man defence.

David Luiz- 6

Not his most testing night. The Brazilian had a relatively comfortable evening as his team ran rout against Everton. Was unlucky to not score himself as he had a shot saved by Stekelenburg.

Gary Cahill– 6

Strong at the back and commanding in the air. Cahill looks to be getting back to his former best. The English man is truly relishing his time under Conte.

Victor Moses- 7

Another enterprising performance from the ever-improving Nigerian. He was on the fringes of the Chelsea squad for years but has now finally nailed down a place for himself in his new role on the right-hand side of midfield.

N’golo Kante – 7

The Frenchman wasn’t required to showcase any of his qualities today. Was fairly quiet and went about his business in usual manner.

Nemanja Matic – 7

Fantastic range of passing from the Serbian. Broke up play well and orchestrated things deep from midfield. Has become a real favourite under Conte.

Marcus Alonso– 8

Proving to be a great outlet on the left-hand side of midfield. Got on the scoresheet after latching on to Pedro’s pass. Defended well and went forward throughout the game to give Chelsea attackers the option.

Eden Hazard– 9 (MOTM)

Scored 2 goals and put in a performance that really inspired his whole team. They were on the front foot from the very off and they continued to punish their opponents. Huge credits should go to Eden Hazard for the way he attacked from the front and combined well with Costa and Pedro.

Diego Costa- 7

Costa scored another goal and stays on top of the Premier League scoring charts with 9 goals. Looks to be back to his best. Under Conte, we’re seeing a far more reserved Costa who has behaved himself well on the pitch.

Pedro–8

The Spaniard put in another great performance in a Chelsea shirt and looks to be getting back to his Barcelona days with the good form. Was involved in everything, scored a goal and set up one superbly for Eden Hazard.

The Brazilian didn’t impact the game much after his introduction.

Came on too late to have any kind of impact on the game.
