Fantastic Dele Alli – The Best And The Worst Rated Tottenham Players From Their 1-1 Draw Against West Brom

Share

Tottenham needed a late-late goal from Dele Alli to come home with a point against West Bromwich Albion. The Baggies took the lead through former Spurs man Nacer Chadli in the 82nd minute but Dele Alli scored for Tottenham in the 89th minute to help end the game at 1-1.

Spurs did ensure that they kept their unbeaten run going but they will see it as two points dropped. The away team were unlucky to not get more goals till the one right at the death. Mauricio Pochettino’s side moved up to third in the league but are one point behind leaders Manchester City.

While Alli did bring home the point, which Tottenham player was the best? We rate the performances of the Tottenham players.

Hugo Lloris – 6.5/10

The French goalkeeper didn’t really have a lot to do in the game but he did have one or two good saves.

Kyle Walker – 6/10

A rarity this season, Kyle Walker had a poor game for the Lilywhites and really should have provided more for Spurs in attack and defence.

Toby Alderweireld – 6/10

Tottenham fans will be worried about the injury picked up by the defender. Alderweireld was good overall but everyone will be hoping for good news for the Belgian defender.

Jan Vertonghen – 7/10

The Belgian didn’t really have to do much in the game, though he did pick up a silly yellow card.

Ben Davies – 7/10

Surprisingly Davies outshone his other full-back Walker and had a great time in attack for Tottenham. He had a great shot saved by Foster and was good in defence as well.

Victor Wanyama – 7/10

This was another great performance in midfield for the former Southampton man. Wanyama did what he does best and broke up a lot of the play for Tottenham.

Moussa Sissoko – 5/10

The big money signing failed to deliver when he could have. Sissoko was replaced by Mousa Dembele and the former Newcastle man needs to step up, big time.

Christian Eriksen – 6/10

The Dane should have done a lot more in the game, especially with the dominance they had with their possession. Eriksen wasn’t all that great in the second half though he had a great free-kick saved by Foster.

Dele Alli – 7.5/10

The Englishman popped up in the right place at the right time to give Tottenham the point. Alli should have actually scored in the first half but a goal is a goal.

Erik Lamela – 6.5/10

The Argentine didn’t really see a lot of the ball to create much for the Tottenham side, which was a bit of a surprise to be honest.

Vincent Janssen – 7/10

While many still want him to score, Janssen didn’t do a bad job creating chances for his teammates. The Dutchman does need to get the monkey off his back though.

Substitutes

Eric Dier – 6/10

The Englishman was brought on to replace Alderweireld but didn’t have a lot to do in the game.

Mousa Dembele – 6/10

Dembele came on for Sissoko and while many expected him to push Tottenham on, the Belgian couldn’t shift into top gear for some reason.

Son Heung-min – 7/10

The South Korean was rested for the game but he did have to come on and did well. Had he come on earlier, he could have made a bigger impact on the game.
