Falcao To Manchester United: Three Benefits Of The Deal

Share

Last week, many top sources revealed about Manchester United’s interest in signing Radamel Falcao during Summer transfer window. But do they really need him? What will he bring new to this already deadly United’s attack? Let’s analyze here,

RVP factor

After a stunning first half of the season, the Dutch tornado has calmed down and not scored for few weeks in United colors. We all know about RVP’s quality, but United need a backup striker or some one to play along with him who can share the goal scoring responsibilities with the former Arsenal captain. RVP’s drop in form is one of the reason why United are eliminated from Champions league and other domestic cups. RVP’s age is another headache for United. How long he can continue playing like this at top level?

Falcao may be the right answer all these questions. He is young but also one of the most feared striker in the world. With a slight change in formation United can play both Falcao and RVP in the same squad.

What will Falcao bring to this United squad?

Amazing Goal Tally

After making his move to Atletico Madrid in 2011, Falcao has scored 64 goals in 83 games, including 28 in 33 games this season and 36 in 50 during the last. Even during his last season for Porto, he has scored 38 times in 42 appearances.  Only Messi, Ronaldo and RVP are more prolific than the Colombian in last few seasons. Who would not want such player in the squad?

Stop Manchester city and Chelsea from buying him

Mancini openly admitted that signing of RVP has won the title for Manchester United this season. One man can change a Club’s fortune. If Chelsea or Manchester city signs Falcao, then they will close the gap on Manchester united in terms of attacking threat and depth, which will make next season more interesting. So how can United stop this? Easy, just buy the player. They did the impossible last season. Why not this season?
