FA Cup: 3 Players Who Are Crucial For Arsenal Against Hull City

Share

So, the much awaited fixture for the Gunners are taking place tonight at Wembley Stadium, London where they will fight for the FA Cup against Hull City. So being in the top of the league standing for longest period and eventually falling down in the crucial times have been a regular feat for the London club and ending up the season trophy less is a common picture. But this year they are getting a chance to bring back smile in their supporters’ face when they will play tomorrow. Let’s now take a look what are going to be the key factors for the Gunners tomorrow.

Aaron Ramsey

The first name that can turn the game in Arsenal’s favour is Aaron Ramsey. Starting the season with a bang this time, Aaron Ramsey promised to deliver a lot. He did keep to his words scoring 13 goals in 21 appearances when he was struck by an injury and forced to be out of the league for a period of three months. But after returning back, he resumed his form and started from where he stopped. And this was again proved with his magnificent goal last week against Norwich City. His presence at the heart of the midfield adds to Arsenal’s fluidity. The team as a whole looks a lot more lively due to his link up play with Mesut Ozil and his marauding runs forward. So, Arsenal fans will definitely want him to deliver well tomorrow and set the tone for the next season.

Laurent Koscielny

The next player on the line is the defence man Laurent Koscielny. His partnership with German Per Mertesacker has been one of the main reasons why Arsenal retained their league position for the longer period among all the clubs who lead this season. So, it is needless to say how important part this Frenchman is going to play tomorrow in order to uplift the trophy. Arsenal have often shown defensive frailties in his absence and if they are to lay their hands on the silverware, then the Frenchman has to be at the top of his game tomorrow.

Olivier Giroud

The last one on the line is Olivier Giroud. The French International has been one of those rare breed of players who score a lot of goals, but are still not given the due credits owing to the number of misses. It is needless to say that he has done decently this season, lighting up in the early parts of the season. But it has been his off form that has hampered the chances for Arsene Wenger’s men in the latter stages of the tournament. To add to that, Giroud’s off field behavior has been questionable and this has also instigated Wenger to take action against him and sideline him. But he came back strongly after that incident and after Yaya Sonogo proved inadequate.

So, if these three men deliver their best performances on the field, which all Arsenal supporters are praying, the Gunners can cease their long drought period and finally clinch the FA Cup again after 2005.
