Everton’s new loan signing is a very highly rated young Spaniard. Gerard Deulofeu is a forward/winger who has been at Spanish giants Barcelona since he was just 9 years old and has played there ever since so he must have the potential there.
After playing for Barcelona B for 2 years he then broke into the first team. At the prime young age of just 19 this clearly shows that Deulofeu is going to have a phenomenal future and this season at Everton he has an amazing chance to prove his capabilities in one of the if not best league in the world.
Gerard made his senior debut for the B team 2 years ago as he came off the bench in a 4-1 away win over Cordoba CF. In that very same year he was obviously starting to catch the eye of coaches and also Pep Guardiola as he was called up to the first team but did not leave the bench. However a few months go by and he makes his first-team debut in a friendly game.
In the B team he made a handy 18 goals in the 12/13 season which shows his capabilities to find the back of the net. He has even been getting compared to the great Lionel Messi but also compared to going the other way and being the next Bojan.
After watching many videos of his goals it is crystal clear that he outstanding skill and potential to push on. I don’t like to compare but he does run with the ball the same way Messi does. He even scores the same type of goals as Messi as in dribbling past many opponents and sometimes even doing more than necessary.
If Roberto gives him the game time he needs at Everton then there is no doubt that with his quality and skill that he will bang in the goals and make a massive impression to the Premier League. Also as most people will have never heard of him, they will be taken aback by this young lad’s capabilities.
