The Mirror has reported that Arsenal is set to make a move for Bournemouth star Ryan Fraser in the summer, with the Scottish winger impressing for the Cherries this season.
With Arsenal looking for new wingers, the Gunners believe that Fraser fits the bill, given the 25-year-old’s performances this season.
Like most of the Bournemouth players, the Scottish international has had a brilliant season. So far, Fraser has 7 goals and 11 assists in all competitions, with him showing his class across the field. Unlike the likes of Callum Wilson, David Brooks and Joshua King, Fraser has played in every game for the Cherries.
The diminutive winger has showcased a tenacity and aggression in his game that has won him many plaudits all season, so much so that it has got the attention of one of the big 6.
While the talent has always been there, the speedster has struggled to produce an end product over the last few seasons. Last season, he finished with five goals and 3 assists, with 3 goals and 8 assists the season before.
It also showcases why Everton need to re-ignite their interest (Bournemouth Echo) in the Scottish star and hijack Arsenal’s move. The Toffees need players of his mould to fit Marco Silva’s system and Ryan Fraser ticks a lot of boxes.
Not the most intimidating presence, the 25-year-old makes up for it in other areas, with his speed, guile and clever movement. As mentioned, Fraser has undergone a change this season and become a more consistent presence in and around the box.
That has allowed the winger to flourish and unlike most Everton players, Fraser has been clinical in front of goal. While they have managed to re-enter the race for the final Europa League spot, they need reinforcements in the summer.
Bernard has struggled to make an impact, and though he works his socks off, the former Shakhtar Donetsk winger hasn’t been as effective in the Premier League. He has scored just one goal in the league, increasing the pressure of scoring and creating on both Gylfi Sigurdsson and Richarlison.
While both have stepped up by scoring and creating 30 goals combined this season, it may not be enough for Marco Silva in the long-term.

Everton need reinforcements if the club are to consistently finish in a top six or challenge for a top-four place. They have it in them to be a part of Europe’s biggest competitions and provide competition to the Premier League’s big boys but they need a few additions. Someone like Ryan Fraser will provide that, but he cannot be their only addition.
