El Neny To Repalce Xhaka – Projected 4-2-3-1 Arsenal Line-Up To Face Everton

Share

Arsene Wenger will be pleased with his team’s returns in the last few games and will hope to extend his 14 games unbeaten streak further. Arsenal are currently in the 2nd place in the points table, 3 points off the top and the manager will hope that they can keep up their good work and stay close to Chelsea at the top. The busy festive schedule will see them get back into action this week as they travel to the Goodison Park on Tuesday in a crunch game for both sides. The smashing victory over Stoke at the weekend will give them plenty of confidence ahead of this game with Wenger expected to field a similar lineup.

Here is the starting XI that Arsene Wenger might play for this game against Everton:

Team News:

The manager will still miss the services of defenders Per Mertesacker and Mathie Debuchy, midfielder Sanit Caozrla, and strikers Danny Welbeck and Yaya Sanogo for this game. Aaron Ramsey missed the Stoke City clash with a hamstring issue but is expected to be back in action for this game. And the biggest blow for the Gunners would be the absence of Shkodran Mustafi.

Petr Cech:

After yet another convincing performance at the weekend, Cech is easily one of the best shot-stoppers in the league at the moment and is an automatic starter for Arsenal this season.

Hector Bellerin:

The Spaniard picked up an assist for Walcott’s goal in the game against Stoke coming back from injury and he should keep his place in the side for this game.

Laurent Koscielny:

The French defender is the first choice centre back for Wenger for some time now and he should keep his place in the side for this game.

Gabriel Paulista:

Injuries to key players will see Gabriel take up a place alongside Koscielny at the heart of the Arsenal defence for this game against Everton.

Nacho Monreal:

The first choice left-back for Wenger in the league, Monreal should keep his place in the side for this trip to the Goodison Park.

Francis Coquelin:

The first choice midfielder for Wenger this season, Coquelin has been superb in controlling the game and he should keep his place in the side for this game against Everton.

Mohamed El Neny:

The 24 year old has been an effective cover for Arsenal in the midfield and he should slot in alongside Coquelin in the midfield for Arsenal for this trip to the Merseyside.

Theo Walcott:

The in-form winger was on target on the night for Arsenal against Stoke and he should keep his place on the wing for this game.

Mesut Ozil:

The German was not at his best at the weekend but he also picked up a goal for himself and should start this game against Everton.

Oxlade-Chamberlain:

Putting in a top class performance against Stoke, Chamberlain is showing some signs of form recently and should start regularly for Arsenal.

Alexis Sanchez:

Though missed out on scoring a goal against Stoke, Sanchez was influential in his team’s victory against Stoke and he should start in a similar position for the Gunners in this game.
