Dier And Dembele Stars – Predicted 3-4-3 Tottenham Hotspur Line-Up To Face West Brom

Share

Two back to back away victories backed up by a satisfying victory over Chelsea at home took Tottenham Hotspur to the 3rd place in the points table, level on points with Manchester City. They are just 7 points off their London rivals at the top and have a decent chance of reducing the deficit this weekend when they take on Tony Pulis’ West Brom side at home.

The Baggies are currently in the 8th place in the table and the manager will hope to take something from this game to stay within the distance of a place in Europe. Mauricio Pochettino is expected to bring back his star players for this clash and here is the predicted lineup he might field for this game:

Team News:

The Spurs do not have too many injuries to worry about for this game but playmaker Erik Lamela remains sidelined nursing his hip injury and will remain the only absentee.

Expected lineup (3-4-3)

Hugo Lloris:

The French star is the first choice shot-stopper for the team and should return to action this weekend against the Baggies.

Eric Dier:

The English international was effective as a part of the back three in the victory over Chelsea and should play a similar role at the weekend.

Toby Alderweireld:

Putting in a strong performance in the middle of the back-3 for Spurs, Alderweireld is slowly growing into one of the best in the league and is one of the first names on the team sheet for his side.

Jan Vertonghen:

The Belgian center back has been solid at the back for Spurs this season and he should start this game on the left side of the three-man defense for Pochettino.

Kyle Walker:

The English full-back is an attack minded player and will thrive in this system for Spurs. He should keep his place in the side for this game.

Victor Wanyama:

Adding some mettle to the midfield of Spurs, Wanyama has been superb in front of the defensive line this season and should start against West Brom.

Mousa Dembele:

The favourite at the Lane, Dembele, has not been consistent this season but is the first choice in the midfield of the team for the Premier League this season.

Danny Rose:

Another fullback who has been effective in a wing back position, Rose is one of the best players in the league in his position and he will start the game at the weekend.

Christian Eriksen:

The Danish playmaker has been in decent form this season and should have a decent game for the side to take all three points from the night.

Dele Alli:

The hero of the victory over Chelsea, Alli will be high on confidence and is expected to put in a similar performance against that Baggies.

Harry Kane:

The first choice striker for Spurs, Kane, will start this game and will be the biggest threat in front of goal for West Brom this weekend.
