Arsenal’s rejuvenated midfielder Abou Diaby backs his team to break the trophy jinx this year and is confident that the depature of star players Van Persie and Song wont affect them.
Arsenal have made a decent start to the campaign with two draws and two victories and notably letting in just a one goal against Southampton. The Gunners face Olivier Giroud’s former team Montpellier in the Champions league clash tonight and Diaby will be on the starting line-up after proving his fitness.
It was a difficult summer for the Gunners, who lost their captain to league rivals Manchester city and Song Alex Song to Barcelona, while long serving players like Sagna and Walcott have also created problems refusing to extend their contract and publicly announcing their displeasure in the club’s transfer policy.

“In the past, great players have left and we have always coped with it,” continued Diaby.
“We are ready, there’s no problem with regards to that.”
