The Mirror has revealed that Tottenham Hotspur are chasing after Hull City star Jarrod Bowen, with the youngster impressing for the Tigers in the Championship. A talented winger with the ability to play as a striker, Bowen has been in fine form this season in the lower leagues, causing the likes of Tottenham, Everton and a few others to keep an eye on his progress.
However, recent reports from Sky Sports have indicated that Spurs lead the race for the 22-year-old, but they will have to pay around £20million if they are to pry him away. While that fee may sound a bit too much for a Championship player, the way Bowen has been playing recently makes it absolutely worth the hype.
A move, however, for the 22-year-old as of now would be the wrong decision, especially given how well he has been playing. While Bowen has scored six in his last six games and only time will tell if his current form is permanent and worthy of the Premier League.
As for Tottenham, before they make any moves this season, the club will first have to look towards letting the likes of Vincent Janssen, Georges-Kevin N’Koudou and a few other stars go before buying more.
They were linked with a summer move for Aston Villa man Jack Grealish but that collapsed due to various issues, with the 22-year-old even revealing his disappointment.
However, for Hull City on the other hand, boss Nigel Adkins has revealed that no transfer fee will make him sell his best player in the winter window.
This puts a massive blow in Tottenham’s plans for a move but if they really are interested then a move, next summer would be more plausible as it gives both sides a chance to re-assess their future and take a look at the move in another light.

For now, Tottenham should avoid pursuing Jarrod Bowen and look for other targets. Though Bowen is talented, it is better if Tottenham splash the cash on other targets instead of Bowen.
