Predicted Huddersfield Town Line-up To Face Swansea City In The Premier League

Newly-promoted Huddersfield Town have made quite a good start to their Premier League campaign. They are on the brink of being within the top 10, since they currently at 10th place in the Premier League table with 9 points from their first 7 fixtures.

Like the home side, Huddersfield are also coming into this fixture on the back of a defeat. Town lost 0-4 at the hands of Tottenham in their last encounter, and while it was detrimental to their morale, Huddersfield will be hoping to come back strong against a seemingly struggling Swansea side.

Team News

David Wagner will have to do without several members of his first-team squad due to injury. Steve Mounie is expected to be out due to a heel injury, which means Depoitre is likely to fill in for him. Kasey Palmer will be unavailable due to hamstring issues, whilst Danny Williams is also out with a foot injury.

Michael Hefele and Jon Gorenc Stankovic continue to be sidelined and Collin Quaner is yet to recover from a calf problem.

Here’s How Huddersfield Town Might Line up Against Swansea City on Saturday:

Manager: David Wagner

Formation: 4-2-3-1

Jonas Lossl (GK)

Lossl has been a rock in goal for Huddersfield and the club will hope that he continues his form against Swansea.

Tommy Smith (RB)

Smith’s performances have not been all that great so far but he should maintain his place in the starting XI.

Tommy Smith

Christopher Schindler (CB)

Schindler has been a rock at the heart of Town’s defence and should keep his place in the team.

Mathias Jørgensen (CB)

Schindler should be joined by Mathias Jørgensen. The player will have a lot riding on him to establish a strong partnership with Schindler.

Chris Lowe (LB)

The line should be completed by Lowe, who could assume his usual role at left-back when Huddersfield travel to Swansea on Saturday.

Aaron Mooy

Jonathan Hogg (DM)

Hogg will be tasked with the massive responsibility of shielding the defence, as well as providing a seamless transition from defence to attack.

Aaron Mooy (CM)

He should be joined by Mooy, who has been quite functional in this role. It will be important for Mooy and Hogg to establish control over the midfield.

Rajiv La Parra (CAM)

La Parra has been quite fiery for Huddersfield, and should keep his place. He will be largely responsible for creating chances.

Tom Ince

Tom Ince (LW)

Ince will be a key player for Huddersfield since he is good at direct, offensive plays.

Elias Kachunga (RW)

Kachunga should take up his usual duty parallel to Ince on the right-hand side of the midfield.

Laurent Depoitre (ST)

Depoitre is likely to get a spot in the starting XI as a replacement for the injured Mounie. This will be a good chance for him to show Wagner what he’s capable of.
