Denis Suarez To Replace Neymar – Predicted 4-3-3 Barcelona Line-Up To Face Borussia Monchengladbach

Share

Luis Enrique and Barcelona will be devastated having dropped a couple of points right at the death in one of the biggest games of the season recently against Real Madrid. The El Classico will take it’s time to get out of the players’ minds but Barcelona are back in action this week as they take on Borussia Monchengladbach in a game that has no bearing on the qualification to the Round of 16. The Catalan giants have already qualified for the next round and are set to keep their position at the top of Group C intact in spite of the result in this game. But Enrique is expected to field a strong side to try and keep up the momentum and here is the predicted lineup that he might play for this game against the German opponents at home:

Team News:

The manager will miss the services of Neymar Jr and midfielder Ivan Rakitic both of whom are suspended for this game. Jeremy Mathieu is the only other player who will miss this game for Barcelona due to injury.

Formation: 4-3-3

Marc-Andre Ter-Stegen:

The German is the first choice shot-stopper for the club this season and should start this Champions League group stage encounter.

Sergi Roberto:

Though had a rough night against Real Madrid, Roberto should keep his place in the side at right back for Barcelona.

Gerard Pique:

The Spaniard has been one of the best defenders in Europe for some time now and he should keep his place in the starting XI for this game on Tuesday.

Samuel Umtiti:

The French defender was an unused substitute in the game against Real Madrid but should be back in action for this Champions League game.

Jordi Alba:

The first choice left-back for Barcelona, Alba had a decent night against Real and should keep his place in the side for this game against Monchengladbach.

Sergio Busquets:

The Spanish midfielder was arguably the best player on the pitch during the El Classico and he should start this game for Barcelona.

Andres Iniesta:

Enrique opted to go with Gomes in the El Classico and that was the decision he might have regretted afterwards. Iniesta, on the other hand, was phenomenal as soon as he arrived on the pitch, and the ageing Barcelona veteran might start this game.

Arda Turan:

The former Atletico Madrid man came late on in the game against Real Madrid but he should be back into the starting XI for this game in the absence of Rakitic for this game.

Lionel Messi:

The Argentine maestro was out of colour in the El Classico but he hardly has two bad games in a row and might be back in form this week against Monchengladbach.

Denis Suarez:

Came in with just over a couple of minutes to play against Real Madrid but should get more game time this week in the absence of Neymar for the UCL.

Luis Suarez:

The scorer of the goal for Barcelona in the El Classico, Suarez had a less than impressive time at the weekend and will hope to have a better game this time around against the German opponents.
