Watford will be full of confidence after picking up two straight wins in the league, keeping pace with the big giants. Javi Gracia’s men have been confident and cohesive going forward. Under the manager, the Hornets have been playing an attractive style of football.
The Hornets will be aiming to make it three out of three when Roy Hodgson’s Crystal Palace visit Vicarage Road. The Eagles will be aiming to make amends to last weekend’s 2-0 loss against Liverpool.
Javi Gracia has a fully fit squad to pick from and should be fielding a similar line-up to last week in order to maintain the momentum. Long-term absentees Younes Kaboul and Obbi Oulare’s remain out but in the meantime, the manager has enough men to cover up. Tom Cleverley is also sidelined after going through an Achilles operation.
Foster has been one of the top performers in the first two games and will once again start between the sticks for Watford.
The marauding right-back is known for his attacking threat down the right flank. Janmaat’s supply will be crucial for the Hornets.
Cathcart hasn’t been in the best of forms in the opening two games but should start this game given Kaboul is out for the foreseeable future.
Kabasele has been excellent at the back so far and will surely start against the Eagles.
It’s Holebas’s raids down the flanks that have been beneficial for the Hornets. The Greek defender has already racked up 2 assists and is in impressive form going into this game.
Doucoure picked up his first assist of the season in the previous game. His constant running up and down the field is the reason why he should start every game for Gracia.
Compared to previous seasons, Capoue plays a deeper role and seems settled so far. The Frenchman’s distribution is impressive in the middle of the park.
Hughes scored his first goal of the season in the game against the Clarets and will be aiming to kick-off from there.
The Argentinian has thrived in his new-found role. He scored two goals in the first game and will prove to be a major thorn for the Eagles’ defence.
It doesn’t matter if Deeney is 30 years old, he still manages to get on the scoresheet. The veteran striker picked up an assist as well in the previous game and is a sure starter.
