Deadline Day Updates

Deadline Day is here!

Arsenal can forget about signing Real Betis defender Dani Ceballos, as the Spain U21 international has recently committed his future to the La Liga outfit. Manager Arsene Wenger was keen on adding more options for his defensive line which has been in need of some reinforcements. In an interview with AS Diario, the 19-year-old superstar stated, “I want to continue at Betis and enjoy these fans for many years. They trust me because I have never failed them.”

“I have always given everything for this shirt and I only think about returning all of the affection that I have received from the Beticos.”

Further, as the transfer season draws to a close, Premier League champions Chelsea are also on the verge of completing a deal with Serie A side Napoli to send Nathaniel Chalobah on a season-long loan to Italy. The England U21 international has failed to impress manager Jose Mourinho and has not been given a game yet for the west London club, falling down the pecking order at Stamford Bridge in recent times.

This will be his sixth loan deal since joining the Blues in 2012 and the 20-year-old star has already had spells at clubs like Watford, Nottingham Forest, Middlesbrough, Burnley and Reading.
