Cummings to lead the line – Strongest 4-3-3 Rangers line-up to face Hibernian FC

Predicted Rangers Line-up To Face Hibernian In The Scottish Premiership

Rangers will go head to head against Hibernian FC in their final game of the 2017/18 Scottish Premiership season, at the Easter Road on Sunday.

Having sacked Graeme Murty recently, the Light Blues went on to beat Kilmarnock 1-0 last weekend and then managed a 1-1 draw against Aberdeen under the guidance of interim boss Jimmy Nicholl.

The Gers sit 3rd in the Premiership table, a point behind second-placed Aberdeen and will be hoping that the Dons slip in their final game against Celtic, which would provide them with a chance to finish the season as runners-up, provided they defeat the Hibs.

Probable Rangers XI

Manager: Jimmy Nicholl

Formation: 4-3-3

Jak Alnwick (GK)

The stand-in goalkeeper has performed quite well since stepping in for the injured Wes Foderingham. Will want to end the season on a strong note.

James Tavernier (RB)

The English full-back hasn’t been too effective recently. He will be looking to lead the side by example as the Gers chase the runners-up spot.

David Bates (CB)

The 21-year-old has been solid in the last two games and will hope to fire his side to a win in what will be his final game for the Gers.

James Tavernier

Russell Martin (CB)

The on-loan Norwich City defender hasn’t been convincing at all and it seems unlikely that the Gers would sign him on a permanent deal. Should be his final appearance for the Light Blues.

Andy Halliday (LB)

Another player whose future at the club is far from secure, midfielder Andy Halliday is likely to continue to fill in at left-back for the injured Declan John, despite some shoddy displays.

Greg Docherty (CM)

The Scottish youth international has seen his star wane after a spectacular start to life at the Ibrox since arriving in January. Needs to be given a start as he possesses the quality to make a difference.

David Bates

Sean Goss (CM)

With Ross McCrorie suspended for the game, the on-loan QPR midfielder is very much likely to step into the holding midfielder role for Sunday’s trip to the Easter Road.

Jordan Rossiter (CM)

The former Liverpool midfielder is highly rated within the club but has had a difficult campaign blighted by injuries. Fit-again, Nicholl should look to hand him a start in the middle.

Daniel Candeias (RW)

The Portuguese winger has seen his form tail off in recent weeks. He will be hoping to provide the spark from the right flank.

Daniel Candeias

Jason Cummings (ST)

The on-loan Nottingham Forest forward came on from the bench against the Dons and livened things up for Rangers. With Alfredo Morelos suspended, he will start at the tip of the attack.

Jamie Murphy (LW)

On-loan winger Jamie Murphy has been a solid addition to the ranks for the Gers and he will be looking to sign off with an impactful performance on Sunday.
