According to a report from Football Scotland, Crystal Palace are interested in signing Rangers star, Alfredo Morelos.
The Colombian international, 23, was in tremendous form for the Ibrox club last season, scoring 30 goals in 48 games. However, he came under severe criticism for his indiscipline, as he picked up 18 yellow cards and five reds.
Morelos is a fantastic young talent and has previously stated his desire to play in the Premier League. Rangers are keen to keep the striker with them this summer, but could be tempted to offload him should they receive an offer around £20m, adds the report.
With that in mind, Crystal Palace should table a substantial offer for Morelos and sign him ahead of the 2019/20 campaign.
Palace are under pressure from Arsenal to sell their pacey forward Wilfred Zaha and have lost strikers Jordan Ayew and Michy Batshuayi to their parent clubs following the expiry of their loans.
Roy Hodgson’s men struggled in front of goals this past season, with none of the strikers producing enough. They badly need a new striker to aim for a top-half finish next term and the Eagles must take a gamble on Morelos.
A fantastic finisher in front of goal, Morelos is primarily known for his pace, power, movement and aggression. The Colombian international is a threat from set-pieces while he also can keep hold of the ball even under tight pressure. The 23-year-old has a vicious right-foot, but he is equally good with the other foot as well.
However, what makes him such a potent striker is his positional sense in the final third. As one would expect from a poacher, Morelos can position himself at the right place at the right time. This is a trait that has helped him score a truckload of goals for Rangers over the last two seasons.

On the flip side, however, Morelos has no experience of playing in the Premier League. Many South American players in the past have struggled to cope with the rigours of the Premier League.
But if Hodgson can help him adapt to the Premier League, as well as manage his temper, Palace would have a brilliant talent on their hands and a lethal finisher. In fact, he would be devastating playing in front of the likes of Wilfried Zaha, Andros Townsend and Jeffrey Schlupp.
Morelos simply could be the man for the Eagles. He has proven time and again that he is an asset for Rangers and Hodgson’s side could do a great job with him next season.
