Is Arsene Wenger about to sign a striker? Some fans thinks that it is unlikely but given that the club has recently sent out Joel Campbell on loan at Sporting Lisbon.
The 24-year-old joined Arsenal in 2011 but since then had spent four seasons on loan at various clubs already. Last season he played in 30 games and scored 4 goals. After having a successful campaign with Costa Rica at the World Cup 2014, it appeared that the player will be given an opportunity to solidify his position at the first team of Arsenal. After spending last season at the club, the Campbell will spend the entire 2016-17 season at Sporting Lisbon.
With Danny Welbeck injured Arsenal are running short of strikers in the team and in spite of the fans’ pleading, there has been no new signing for the Gunners. Now with Joel Campbell leaving the club the pressure on Arsene Wenger could be extremely high to sign a new striker.
