Predicted 4-3-3 Fulham Lineup to face Reading

After an impressive 4-2 win over Crawley Town in their first pre-season fixture last weekend, newly promoted Premier League side Fulham will take on Reading on Saturday afternoon in a friendly.

The Cottagers returned to the English top-tier for the 2018/19 campaign via the Championship playoffs and will be keen on gathering steam and building momentum with a solid pre-season campaign before the season kicks off next month.

And after having made light work of their previous opponents, manager Slavisa Jokanovic will be hoping that his troops continue on the same path this weekend.

Here’s how Fulham could line up for the friendly encounter against the Royals on Saturday.

Probable Fulham XI

Manager: Slavisa Jokanovic

Formation: 4-3-3

Marek Rodak (GK)

The 21-year-old youngster was given the nod against Crawley Town and Jokanovic is likely to stick with him once again on Saturday.

Cyrus Christie (RB)

The 25-year-old is the automatic choice at right-back for the Cottagers following the summer departure of Ryan Fredericks on a free transfer.

Tim Ream (CB)

The experienced defender signed a new contract, extending his stay by two years. Should start against Reading after appearing from the bench last time out.

Marcelo Djalo (CB)

One of the goalscorers from the last game, the former Real Madrid academy man should get the nod alongside Ream in the heart of the defence.

Ryan Sessegnon (LB)

One of the brightest young stars in England currently, the teenage sensation is expected to retain his spot on the left-hand side of the back-four against the Royals.

Tom Cairney (CM)

The club captain wasn’t a part of the starting XI against Crawley Town last time out but should feature from the get-go this weekend.

Ibrahima Cisse (CM)

Another player who made an appearance from the bench in the previous game, the defensive midfielder is likely to get the nod on Saturday.

Stefan Johansen (CM)

The 27-year-old Norwegian midfielder should complete the midfield trident for the London outfit against the Royals for Saturday’s friendly.

Neeskens Kabano (RW)

The 26-year-old was on the scoresheet against Crawley Town last week and will be hoping to build on that with another strong display against Reading.

Rui Fonte (ST)

The Portuguese forward will look to get into a good rhythm going into next season, with a string of impressive displays during the pre-season.
