3 Big Money Moves That Could Happen In Jan – Featuring Manchester United And West Ham Targets

With the winter transfer window now in full swing and some couple of signings already made across Europe, much more are expected to be completed over the coming days, and not all of them would be coming cheap.

The Chinese Super League clubs have been making outrageous bids to lure the best talents in Europe away, and that is expected to continue. The big clubs in Europe just can’t match the spending powers of their Asian counterparts and have been kept on their toes as far as keeping their players and buying their transfer target goes.

Nevertheless, some big moves could be actualized on the continent this season, as some clubs are also set to make audacious offers and bids to meet up with their campaign mission and dreams.

Here are 3 big money signings that could happen this January:

3. Moussa Dembele

Since arriving Ibrox Stadium last summer from the Craven Cottage, the French youngster has gradually seen his stock rise on the back of a fine form in front of goal in the Scottish Premiership.

He is one of the most sought-after young strikers out there, and West Ham, alongside Manchester United and Chelsea are said to be keen on bringing the former Fulham striker back to the EPL. The Hammers are favourites having reportedly registered interest with a formal offer.

Celtic have slammed a £30million buyout fees on the 20-year-old, and despite reports claiming the east London club have offered them £20million that has since been rejected, their desperation for a striker, in order to save their season, could see them pay such hefty fees just to have Dembele before the end of the month.

West Ham aren’t completely saved from relegation, with just 7 points separating them from the drop zone. The club has striking problems, with the highest return from any of their strikers just 2 goals thus far, and they identify Dembele, who has scored 19 goals in all competitions this term as a potential striking solution.

2. Chicharito

Javier Hernandez could leave Bayer Leverkusen this month, as even the club’s Sporting Director Rudi Voller, admits a crazy bid would likely leave the Bundesliga club with no choice than to sell.

It has been revealed bids around £21.4million – almost triple the £7.3million he arrived for from Old Trafford in the summer of 2015, would be enough to prise the 28-year-old Mexico international away from Leverkusen, and it’s not likely that Chicharito would be short of suitors.

Despite currently suffering a drop in form having gone the last 15 games without a goal, the former Manchester United ace is still one to go for the goals, as his ongoing drought could be as a result of his reported lack of friendship with his Leverkusen teammates.

Last season, he bagged 26 goals in 40 games for the German side and would likely rediscover his form elsewhere if a move is made for him. A couple of clubs are expected to take the risk and hope their gamble would pay off on the goal poacher. Chances are it would, but he will only be available for the right price – a bogus one at this time of the season.

3. Arturo Vidal

The biggest mega move that could happen this January involves the Chilean to Stamford Bridge, with emerging reports claiming Vidal could be keen on a reunion with Antonio Conte.

Chelsea are understood to have made a bid of around £34million in order to test Bayern Munich’s resolve. The 29-year-old was a key part of Conte’s setup at Juventus, and the Italian is hoping to add his former pupil to his squad in order to empower a stronger title challenge as things get tougher in the next 5 months.

Vidal has played 21 games for the Bundesliga giants this term and has been a major player in their ranks since arriving from Turin in the summer of 2015. Bayern are attempting to hold out and have set £40million as the asking price for the 2-time Copa America winner.

This looks like a deal that could happen in the closing minutes of the transfer window.
