The 6’3 tall and lanky Bayern Leverkusen striker is a defender’s nightmare. The 29-year old has already developed an impression in native Germany about his imposing presence in the box and the striker he can be when in full song. Although he may not be the one that Chelsea fans would expect, he has got, what it takes to be a second choice striker if the Blues are going all out to buy the likes of Falcao or Cavani and if not, Kießling can be a decent upgrade to Demba Ba or even Eto’o.
Kießling has scored tons in the Bundesliga for Bayer Leverkusen and is an integral part of Sami Hyppia’s impressive outfit who are absolutely sublime at the Bay Arena. Not only he can change any game by the scruff of the neck, he is very creative and with his ball holding skills can bring others into play as well, something which suits Chelsea’s impressive build up play. Certainly a beast but is Mourinho listening to solve his striking dilemma of Torres, Eto’o and Demba Ba?
