Chelsea Transfers: Three Signings That Mourinho Should Go For Including This Real Madrid Star

Chelsea’s January transfer window was nothing short of a proactive spending spree. Jose Mourinho bought the likes of Kurt Zouma alongside Mohammed Salah in his already impressive squad but had to part ways with Kevin De Bruyne, Mikel Essien and the most significant of all, Juan Mata to Manchester United amongst all others.

Chelsea’s squad as of late looks to have no chinks in their armoury, running like a well oiled machine, gunning for the title but whether Mourinho’s second homecoming sweetens is for all to see. Come this summer in May, they might need some reinforcements, so we here at Soccersouls decided to present you three signings that the Blues from London might be interested in come next summer.

Fabio Coentrao (Real Madrid):

If we are to critically judge Ashley Cole’s performance over the last two seasons, it has been nothing short of a disappointment. The English international is well past his sell by date and his age is taking the toll out of him. With Ryan Bertrand on loan to Aston Villas and looking to gain more experience with time, Mourinho might feel he would raid his former club Real Madrid for Portuguese left back Fabio Coentrao. Coentrao doesn’t seem to fit well in Carlo Ancelotti’s scheme of things and post the World Cup, he might be on the lookout for a new clubs where he can get more game time rather than warming the sidelines and play second fiddle to the always exuberant Brazilian Marcelo.
