Chelsea Latest: Ba Welcomes Rooney’s Arrival While Cahill Beleives In Lukaku

Demba Ba has insisted that he is going nowhere this summer after being linked with a move to Naples, who are currently on a signing spree. The former Blues Interim manager who took brought him to Stamford Bridge last January is allegded to be interested in the Senagalese forward to work with him at the Seria A club.

The 28-year old striker joined the Stamford Bridge on January 2013 on a £7million deal. But since joining the Blues, Ba’s form has taken a sharp fall. He only managed to score 2 goals in 14 league appearances for Chelsea.

This year, Romelu Lukaku is back from a loan spell at Albion. Torres is already there. And there are so many speculations about Wayne Rooney. On this context, it seems Demba Ba’s position in first team will face turmoil. But this Senegalese seems to possess an indifferent attitude towards it.

He has confirmed that he won’t leave Chelsea.

“I think we need competition and we welcome the best players in this club,” he said on Rooney. More competition is going to make me better anyway. All players want to play, not only centre forwards. We will all work in the same direction, for the club, to try and win the games. I will stay.”

He is looking forward to creating a resuscitate the chemistry with the newly appointed Portuguese manager Jose Mourinho.

“I feel good,” he said. “It’s always good to score but at this stage it’s more about the work and running a lot on the pitch to get you condition back. It’s been a good week’s work with the new manager. We will see in the next few weeks. It will be exciting.”

On the hand Chelsea defender Gary Cahill has stated that he believes that Lukaku would have a fine season with the Blues this term. Lukaku who has continued with his impressive performances during Chelsea’s pre-season after having had a breath taking spell at West Brom is all set to work under new manager Jose Mourinho who has himself claimed that Lukaku can be their “New Drobga”.

And now fellow teammate Cahill believes that Lukaku’s loan spell at West Brom last season has prepared him to be a more matured striker, who will be able to step up to Mourinho’s needs.

He had a great loan spell at West Brom last season and has been flying in training and scored some great goals here,” Cahill stated. “I play against him in training a lot and he’s a handful just with his pace and power. He’s still a young lad, but he scored a lot of goals at West Brom. So I’m sure it’s exciting times for him and I’m sure he’s looking forward to the season.”
