Tony Pulis’ West Brom side have made great strides this season and their most recent victory against a struggling Arsenal side, showed the progress they have made since the start of the season. Though they have very little chance to qualify for Europe, the manager will hope that his team can finish the season on a high, to go into the next campaign on a high.
However, they do have the chance to spoil the party of some top teams, just like they did against the Gunners when they travel to Old Trafford this weekend. Jose Mourinho’s Manchester United are unbeaten in their last 18 league games and though they have a few injuries to deal with, they are expected to fight for all 3 points. It will not be easy for the Baggies to keep them silent and they will have to be at their best to take even a point from this game.
Matt Philips is back in training but he will be assessed before being named in the squad for this game. He remains the only real injury concern for the Baggies ahead of this tie.
The first choice shot-stopper for the Baggies, Foster has been terrific this season for his side and should keep his place in the first team.
Another player who has been consistent at the back for West Brom this season, Dawson will have his work cut out against the likes of Martial in this tie.
One of the most effective center backs this season in the league. McAuley is the first choice for Pulis and should start this game against the Red Devils.
The former Manchester United has been solid at the back for West Brom and he will hope to have a good game against his former club.
After a terrific performance against Arsenal, Nyom should keep his place in the side and should start at left-back for West Bromwich Albion.
After an England call-up in the international break, Livermore will be high on confidence and will hope to have a decent game this weekend.
The first choice midfielder for the Baggies, Fletcher has used all his experience to good effect this season and should start on the right-hand side of Livermore in this game.
He was one of the least effective players against Arsenal. However, he is still integral to the plans of the manager and should start this game in the midfield.
The former Tottenham Hotspur man has been in terrific form for Pulis’ side and will be a danger man for West Brom in this tie.
A constant presence on the flank for the Baggies, McClean did well against Arsenal and will hope to have a similar outing this weekend.
Had a day to forget against the Gunners but Rondon is a genuine goal scorer. He should start this game against the likes of Bailly and Rojo on this trip to the Old Trafford.
