Earlier, a hearing was issued on Brown, as a fall out of his controversial celebration in the Old Firm derby last month, which was supposed to be on May 2nd.

Now, after the request from the Hoops’ behalf, SFA has brought forward the hearing on the 26th this month, which means Brown will feature in the derby next month.

A spokesperson of SFA said such appeals are legal. (h/t The Sun)

“Clubs can request for a change of date for hearings and as long as it’s a reasonable request the SFA will always try and accommodate.”

Last month’s derby witnessed the Gers striker, Alfredo Morelos, getting a red card, following his attack on Brown. Ryan Kent also lashed out at the Hoops skipper, for which he is currently serving a two-match ban.

However, the Celts emerged victorious in a frantic match at Park Head with the help of a late goal from James Forrest.

The victory was in reply to Steven Gerrard’s side, who were the winners in this season’s reverse fixture.

With the derby win, the Celts strengthened their position in the Premiership table to clinch the title for the eighth time in a row.

Neil Lennon, the interim manager, hasn’t faced any defeats since taking charge, midway through this season.

Following the derby, he inspired his side to defeat Aberdeen in the Scottish Cup semi-finals, which was his sixth win of the season.

And the odds are high for the ex-Hibernian manager to continue at park Head as the full-time manager.
