Celtic Fc News: Mark Hill completes loan move to USL

Celtic Transfer news: Mark Hill, the Celtic midfielder, has been loaned to USL side Charlotte Independence. (h/t The Sun)

A youth product of the Hoops, the 20-year-old joined the senior team in 2018  before being loaned to St Mirren.

After making around three appearances in Premiership, the Scottish youngster found himself getting loaned to Forfar Athletic, the club which plays at the second tier of Scottish football.

He has scored three goals in 13 appearances for the League One side.

Hill has also represented his country’s U-21 and U-19 teams.

The young midfielder who is set to spend the rest of the season at the American club spoke about his loan move.

I’m very excited about being in Charlotte.

“I know Jim demands his players be hardworking and it was the exact same way at Celtic when I played under him there.

“Hopefully I can do that here and go back to get a chance with Celtic.”

Charlotte’s manager Jim McGuinness, the former Hoops footballer played a huge rule in bringing the Scottish talent to his side.

Andrew Gutman, who got signed for the Hoops is also spending his loan spell at the USL side.

Gutman made his USL debut against Indy Eleven on Saturday.

McGuinness offered his thoughts on Hill.
