Tottenham Hotspur F.C., commonly known as Tottenham is a professional football club based in Tottenham, London. They currently compete in the Premier League and have been around for many number of years. Their nickname is “Spurs” or “The Lilywhites”.

The club was founded in 1882 as Hotspur F.C. before changing their name later. They are currently owned by the ENIC International limited group and their Chairman is the popular Daniel Levy.

Spurs are moving to their new Tottenham Hotspur stadium this year, temporarily using Wembley as their home since last season. Before this, the Lilywhites’ home was the White Hart Lane, which has now been demolished.

Spurs have lifted the old first division title twice in their time. They have also won the FA Cup on 8 occasions as well as lifting the League Cup 4 times. The Lilywhites have also won 7 Community Shield and have an impressive cabinet at display, though there hasn’t been any recent success.

Their all-time leading goal scorer is Jimmy Greaves who has scored a total of 266 goals, but there’s every chance current striker Harry Kane will trump that number. Steve Perryman holds the record for the most number of appearances, which stands at 613.
