Bruce to make no changes – Strongest 4-1-4-1 Aston Villa lineup to face QPR

Predicted Aston Villa Lineup To Face Queens Park Rangers In The EFL Championship

Villa hit rivals and league leaders Wolves for four at the weekend and although the scoreline looked spectacular, the result in itself was not a massive surprise at all.

Steve Bruce’s side now find themselves only four points off an automatic promotion place in the Championship and with their tails well and truly up going into this fixture, having scored 11 goals in 3 games.

Jonathan Kodjia, Alan Hutton and Axel Tuanzebe have all been missing from the Villa squad although the latter could be involved in this game in some way.

Hutton should be back soon but may still miss this game while Kodjia has taken part in training. But with three games in close proximity to each other before an international break, Steve Bruce is unlikely to risk the striker until they return to action on March 31 at Hull.

The 4-1-4-1 which worked so well against Wolves may be back in action and I’d expect this XI to be the ones taking part here against QPR:

Probable Aston Villa XI

GK – Sam Johnstone

Definitely inching towards Premier League quality (if he’s not already there) and will be relied upon once more by Steve Bruce.

RB – Ahmed Elmohamady

Can break into the spaces left by QPR and provide the width on the right while Snodgrass drifts inside.

Ahmed Elmohamady

CB – James Chester

A goalscoring performance against Wolves and another start alongside Terry beckons.

CB – John Terry

He’s getting older but his determination, positional sense and fitness levels do not appreciably drop.

LB – Neil Taylor

Hutton’s absence is a blow but he is replaced ably by specialist left-back Taylor.

DM – Mile Jedinak

The Aussie possesses plenty of quality and can pick out his passes from here.

Mile Jedinak

RW – Robert Snodgrass

His dead-ball quality alone means he could produce something which could win Villa the match.

CM – Jack Grealish

Great to see the young man back in the midfield and it seems he’ll be a Premier League player one way or the other.

CM – Conor Hourihane

Good going forward and so this could be the perfect game for him.

Conor Hourihane

LW – Albert Adomah

Back in the team and straight back among the goals – a key player in this line-up and one QPR will do very well to attempt to stop.

ST – Lewis Grabban

Belatedly showing real quality in his career. Getting goals for different sides playing different styles and at different ends of the table means no coincidence is involved. Probably merits another year in the Premier League.
