Predicted Aston Villa Line-up To Face Millwall In The EFL Championship

We are at the business end of the season in the Championship and there is still a lot to play for. Aston Villa, however, have it all wrapped up, confirming their place in the playoffs a couple of weeks ago but still being a little too far from second place in the table to get any higher.

Millwall, however, need to win this game in order to get into the playoffs and have a chance of Premier League football! It will be a very exciting game.

Probable Aston Villa XI

Manager: Steve Bruce

Formation: 4-1-4-1

Sam Johnstone (GK)

Johnstone has had a good season for the Villans and the 25-year-old has really proven that he can cut it at a high level. Will be wanting to test himself in the Premier League.

Alan Hutton (LB)

Neil Taylor had a terrible game against Derby and Hutton has just returned from injury. He may come back in for this game.

John Terry (CB)

The 37-year-old returned from injury in the previous game and has played a vital part in Villa’s season. He grabbed a good assist last time out and will be looking to continue winning.

John Terry

James Chester (CB)

Chester will be looking to continue the fantastic partnership he has had with Terry all season. Will be looking for a clean sheet this game.

Ahmed Elmohamady (RB)

The Egyptian right-back has been consistently strong this season despite his ageing legs. He is good in the attack and rarely gets caught out defensively.

Glenn Whelan (CDM)

Whelan has been fantastic since coming into this central defensive midfield position and Villa have looked a lot stronger since his arrival into the side. Will be looking to continue in the same manner.

Jack Grealish

Albert Adomah (LM)

Adomah has been fantastic all season but his game-changing contributions have dropped off a little recently. He will be looking to get back to his best in time for the playoffs.

Jack Grealish (CM)

Jack Grealish has been one of the best Aston Villa players this season and constantly influences games for his teams with his creativity.

Conor Hourihane (CM)

Hourihane has been as good as Grealish in the midfield for Villa if you look at the statistics but doesn’t grab the headlines. Constantly solid.

Conor Hourihane

Robert Snodgrass (RM)

Snodgrass has been brilliant on loan for Villa this season and surely the Villans have to sign him permanently in the summer.

Lewis Grabban (ST)

The striker has had a great season in the Championship and has been one of the best strikers for both Sunderland and Villa. He grabbed a goal in the previous game and will be looking to continue in the same vein of form.
