Swansea City battled their way to a goalless draw in an inspiring encounter against Nottingham Forest on Saturday at the Liberty Stadium.
Neither side could find the breakthrough to take all three points as Ben Osborn twice went close for Nottingham Forest, while substitute Joel Asoro spurned Swansea’s best opportunity.
From minute one, this match had a draw written all over it and that became the reality after the end of 90 minutes.
Mulder commanded his goal very well and made some really good saves. Was very assured with the ball at his feet as he always looked to start attacks from the back.
Defensively diligent and fantastic going forward, Roberts once again enjoyed a fantastic outing for the Swans.
Swansea’s defensive lynchpin, Van der Hoorn once again impressed by keeping things tight at the back. The skipper continues to grow with every passing game and these are really good signs for Graham Potter.
Rodon was assured in possession and stayed rock solid at the back. Just like his defensive partner, he had a good game.
John was wasteful in possession and lacked idea at times. If he intends to keep his place in the starting XI, he has to improve drastically.
A clash of heads with Robinson rattled Fulton, who was withdrawn at half-time.
Swansea’s star of the day, Grimes was a bundle of energy as he always tried to create things out of nothing. Put in solid tackles, made interceptions and his set-piece deliveries were particularly impressive. He also showed some nice trickery but the only thing his performance lacked was a goal.
McKay was inventive in the attack, linked up well with Celina and McBurnie but lost possession a lot of times.
Was always a threat on the ball as Celina looked to create things out of nothing. Potter and the Swansea fans will hope the playmaker’s injury is not as serious as it first appeared.
Dhanda was very sloppy in possession and failed to influence the game. However, he did well when deployed behind the main striker.
McBurnie worked really hard for his team and linked up very well with Celina before the break. Showed some really good touches and tried his best for the goal but it never happened.
Replaced Fulton at the break and did a decent job in midfield.
Asoro came on for the injured Celina and barring some really good link up play, he struggled to impose himself.
He came on for Dhanda with 20 minutes left in the game. Stuck to his task very well.
