What a start it’s been for Watford. The Hornets are one of just three teams apart from Chelsea and Liverpool to make it four wins from four.

Javi Gracia’s men clinched a scintillating 2-0 victory against Tottenham Hotspur before the international break. The Hornets were unfortunate to concede an own goal via Abdoulaye Doucoure.

But two well-taken set-piece goals converted by Troy Deeney and Craig Cathcart handed all three points to the Watford. It’s been a dream start for the Hornets under Javi Garcia.

Foster was superior in goal and charged out to win everything.

Janmaat’s raids down the right flank posed all sorts of problems for Tottenham Hotspur.

Super performance from the centre-back who scored the winning goal.

Christian Kabasele (7/10)

Kabasele kept Lucas Moura and Harry Kane at bay as Spurs often threatened the defence.

Another commanding performance from Watford’s left-back who picked up both the assists via set-pieces.

Abdoulaye Doucoure (6/10)

Doucoure was unfortunate to concede an own goal. But the midfielder defended well in the middle of the park.

Etienne Capoue (8/10)

Capoue and Doucoure have turned into a formidable partnership in the middle of the park. Capoue’s surging runs from midfield posed a huge threat.

Will Hughes (8/10)

Hughes put in am excellent shift on the night. The attacking midfield was on point with his passing and created a number of opportunites in the final third.

Roberto Pereyra (7/10)

Pereyra did have a few chances to find the back of the net. His daunting runs into the box ensured Vertonghen and Alderweireld were always on their heels.

Not a very productive afternoon for Gray but he put in a decent shift as well.

Troy Deeney (9/10)

A captain’s performance from the striker. Tory Deeney handed Tottenham a torrid time at the back and scored the opener for Watford.
