Breaking! Manchester United Set To Sign £17m Midfielder From Turkey

Share

United are looking to sign a midfielder after having secured a defender, a creative forward and a striker. While Paul Pogba has been heavily linked with a move to the club, there are reports that the Red Devils are prepared to offer £17 million for Oguzhan Ozyakup from Besiktas.

Turkish-football.com has reported that the bid will be enough to secure the signing of ex-Arsenal play-maker. Spanish media had reported that there was interest from Arsenal and Valencia too but the 23-year-old is likely to join United if the bid comes through from the Old Trafford outfit.

Ozyakup was at Gunners’ academy till 2012 but then moved to Besiktas in search of first team football. Since then he has appeared in over 100 games for the Turkish club and has impressed the fans. The club president has also given a hint about the player’s move and had said earlier that, “When Ozyakup leaves Besiktas it will be for Manchester United, Barcelona or Real Madrid. A club of that caliber”
