Breaking! Conte Confirms The Future Of Oscar And Fabregas

  • Antonio Conte has insisted that the two out of favor midfielders are to be staying at Stamford Bridge despite rumors of a few Chelsea players leaving the club in the January transfer window.
  • The Blues boss has also rubbished speculations on Oscar and Fabregas of a move away from Chelsea and claimed that they are both the future of the club.

Having changed his formation to a 3-4-3 the Chelsea manager is reaping results having scored 16 goals in 5 games winning all of them and have conceded zero goals. They seem to be in another rich vein of form since this transformation.

Although Chelsea are currently flying, there are rumors that a few players who are being left out aren’t able to get a start and are falling out of favor with the fans and the manager. Oscar and Fabregas are two of the stars that led Chelsea to the Premier League title in the 2014-2015 season but performances since then have declined and it’s been difficult to get into the starting eleven.

Fabregas, who was signed in a £27m deal from Barcelona in 2014, lasted 55 minutes of Chelsea’s 3-0 loss to his former club Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium in September. Oscar, meanwhile, has made seven Premier League appearances this term but hasn’t started a game since a 2-1 loss to title rivals Liverpool at Stamford Bridge in mid-September.

On Friday, ahead of his side’s trip to the Riverside, the Italian confirmed “Oscar’s future is at Chelsea.

“For me, Oscar is an important player in the squad,” said Conte at his news conference (Quoted by ESPN)

“He’s in good form. It’s logical I have to take the starting XI every week, but Oscar is a great player. For me, he stays at Chelsea.”

“It’s important that this message arrives for all. But Oscar will stay with us because I consider him an important player for Chelsea.”

“Fabregas? Yes. Now he is in good shape. He’s available for Sunday, for sure. The same speech as for Oscar. I anticipate this question…”
