Chelsea have been trying to strengthen their midfield position in spite of signing of N’Golo Kante and the affirmation from Conte that Nemanja Matic will remain at Chelsea.
According to a report from Independent, the Blues are keeping a tab on PSG midfielder Blaise Matuidi, who also happens to be a person of interest at Old Trafford. The 29-year-old midfielder has been a key player for PSG for last few seasons but the new manager Unai Emery has recently suggested that he may allow the French international to leave the club.
Matuidi too is said to be keen on leaving as he explores football outside of France. The midfielder is also reportedly unsettled with the new signing Grzegorz Krychowiak’s arrival at Parc des Princes. The Blues have also missed out on Radja Nainggolan and are likely to find a replacement for the Belgian target. It looks like Conte is set to build an extremely solid midfield, the only concern that he should not ignore other positions.
