Breaking: Chelsea Manager Hints At Interest In Signing A New Striker

Share

Chelsea’s current manager Guus Hiddink has indicated of potential transfers for the Blues. The Blues’ interim manager, however, seemed to be playing safe and did not put much light on who the club is considering to bring into the Stamford Bridge. Hiddink however, did state that the club is open to new transfers and will be making certain changes in the current status of the players in the club.

The Dutch manager’s stint with the Blues after the sacking of Mourinho has seen many positive changes in the players and their forms. The Manager has overseen five matches since Mourinho’s sacking and have managed three victories and two draws.

While Diego Costa seems to have regained his form since Hiddink’s arrival at Chelsea with four goals in three games, Ruben Loftus-Cheek will be seen in the first team in regular basis.

“We are thinking,” the Guardian quotes Hiddink as having said during his most recent press conference; also noted by the publication is that the Blues boss made it ‘obvious’ he would prefer to sign cover.

“We have to have good competition, good double occupation in every position. When there is good shape and the double occupation is there, then we are OK but we must not go into this danger when something happens with one or two strikers. I don’t deny that it would be a concern if Costa or Rémy were injured.

“I am thinking. And it’s not good [to] talk when you are thinking in this case because, why shall we go public? If, suppose something is going on, it can be harmful when you go public. Theoretically; that’s what I’m saying at the moment.”
