Metro reported that Arsenal have signed a new goalkeeper Matt Macey from Bristol Rovers. Matt Macey is just 18 year old and had a trial with Arsenal recently. After impressing Arsenal coaching staffs during the trial, Wenger has decided to sign the rising star on a permanent deal. Macey was also linked with Everton, but decided to move to the premier league leaders instead.
Confirming the news, Bristol Rovers posted on their official twitter,
‘Goalkeeper Matt Macey has now joined Arsenal #bristolrovers,’
Reportedly, Arsenal payed about £100,000 to Bristol Rovers as a compensation to sign the young shot stopper.
