According to reports, Palermo are all set to once again make a move to sign Arsenal forward Joel Campbell, after talks with the Gunners did not materialize in July, according to reports from The Mail. The Serie A side were keen to sign the Costa Rican international for the upcoming season on loan, yet manager Arsene Wenger informed them that he was available for a permanent transfer.
The Italian outfit refused to meet the French manager’s £7.1m asking price and their interest in Campbell slowly faded.
However, it seems now that once again there is interest from the Romans, who are now looking to add the 23-year old winger to their squad this summer.
Campbell had a superb loan spell previously at Olympiakos and was impressive in the World Cup at Brazil as well, forcing his return to the Emirates last season.
Despite that things did not work as per plan and the youngster is back to probably have one last time to make things work, if a deal does not go through in the upcoming days.
