Thibaut Courtois-9.0
The big Belgian matched De Gea’s heroics with a top drawer save off Ander Herrera in the second half. And was a big reason why the score ended up being 0-0.
Branislav Ivanovic- 7.5
Was taken apart by Martial on the right flank and link up with Darmian left him with one-ones with the Frenchman. Looked average in all sectors of the game.

Kurt Zouma- 8.5
Arguably Chelsea’s best outfield player, Zouma looked solid and compact at the back. Showed flashes of being one of the fastest players in the league, his tackling and reading of the game stood out.
John Terry- 8.0
The former England International played well throughout the game and had a header saved from close range by De Gea. Marshalled the defence well too.
Cesar Azpilicueta- 8.0
The Spaniard’s solid performance went under the radar. Apart from the concluding ten minutes, Azpilicueta never allowed Ashley Young to make runs in behind. Had a rebound effort parried superbly by De Gea in the second half.
Nemanja Matic- 7.5
Didn’t have the best of outings. Was often pressed into clearing or losing the ball and was outclassed by Schneiderlin in the midfield. Missed an opportunity to score when he was put clean through on goal by Pedro.
John Obi Mikel- 7.5
Someone who had to be slotted in due to Fabregas’ absence, Obi Mikel put in a decent showing in a game wherein the Blues went in with two holding midfielders.
Oscar- 7.0
The Brazilian looked slightly off color and could’ve done better. Miscontrolled the ball numerous times and was often crowded out by the United midfield.
Willian- 7.5
His deliveries from set pieces could’ve been better than they were. Endured a rather frustrating outing and struggled to impose himself on the game.
Pedro-8.0
The former Barcelona star was one of those Chelsea players who had some kind of intent in his play. Showed glimpses of impressive close control and incredible passing ability and range.
Eden Hazard- 7.5
Not used to playing as a false nine, Hazard was performing the role of both the number nine and the number ten throughout the game. Was looking to create and make runs in behind.
