When AC Milan unveiled Bartosz Salamon at the start of this year, there was a sense of curiosity surrounding the 21-year old Polish defender as the fans started to believe that the proposed youth project by Galliani and Allegri was finally making progress. Bartosz Salamon, at nearly 2 meters in height is a Polish defender who can play as a defensive midfielder as well, and has good feet and a terrifying aerial presence.
AC Milan announced his signature at the final day of the transfer window for an undisclosed fee and since then the defender has not been involved in first team actions and has spend his first two months with the reserve team.
However Bartosz has expressed to be a part of Milan’s youth project and prove his worth, he said:
“The first sensations and impressions are very positive. We’re working very well here at Milanello, because there’s nothing lacking for the players. Everything is set up here at Milanello for you to be the best you possibly can. I have the opportunity to improve in a fantastic setting with many champions.”
“I’ve been back training with the team for 10 days, and I’m working hard to get back into top shape after being out for a month. I’m getting along very well with my team-mates and I feel good in this squad. I got to know them when I was injured, and I’ve been integrated very fast in this squad. They’re all great players. The older players are giving me good advice, but everyone is trying to help me out. I hope to be a part of this project of young players.”
“I will work hard and after that it depends on my performances. I’m preparing myself to play in the matches. I was very pleased to hear what Massimo Ambrosini said about me. I’ve had many coaches and I’ve learned a lot from each one of them, but Alessandro Calori was the man who changed my career and turned me into a defender.”
“Massimiliano Allegri is good at handling the squad, and he manages to maintain the balance in the squad. He keeps a low profile, and he’s always thinking about the next match to come immediately after we play one”, declared the Polish defender.
