Barcelona are looking to sign Manchester United midfielder Juan Mata this summer in a £25.9m deal.
Mata who was sold from Chelsea to United by Jose Mourinho may have to end up leaving the club this summer once Mourinho confirms his transfer plans for the Red Devils.
Reports from Spanish newspaper Mundo Deportivo suggest that Barcelona are considering a bid for Mata as they are frustrated for not having made to the Champions League finals this season and having to watch rivals Real Madrid lift the trophy.
For Barca, Mata is the solution to their problem and may provide the player a ticket out of Manchester United this summer. Mata has the experience of La Liga matches as he spent the first five years of his career playing for Valencia. Further the player does not want his career to stagnate under Jose Mourinho, who, as of now, has not given him any assurances of keeping his current place intact.
The latest reports from Skysports suggests that, Juan Mata and Dutch midfielder Daley Blind are set for Old Trafford exits. It is understood Mourinho would approve the sale of both players this summer should United receive acceptable bids, with the expectation he can sign players to directly replace them – reports the paper.
