Avoid Sterling And Sunderland Players, Arsenal’s Tormentor Is A Gamble – FPL week 32 Preview

Share

After a massive fifteen game matchweek 31, its back to normal business in week 32. The race for the title is getting hotter with each passing week and this week could also be a crucial one with two very important matches to be played.

While Arsenal welcome Manchester City on Saturday, in what seems to be an one sided match till now, Liverpool rub shoulders with Tottenham Hotspur at Anfield on Sunday. Chelsea and Liverpool fans would wish for Arsenal to cause an upset, but looking at the form of City at the moment, it looks to be a distant dream.

For Liverpool, every game is a must win to be in contention for the title and Spurs are no less than a formidable opposition, who have their own aspirations of the top four. Chelsea travel to Selhurst Park to face Crystal Palace in an all London affair, looking forward to take home three points. And all eyes will be on Manchester United and David Moyes as they will have to try and get back to winning ways after a set of horrendous results in the past couple of matches. Let us now take a look at some of the most important factors of gameweek 32.

Michu back in contention

Swansea forward Michu is now back in the team after spending an extended time on the sidelines. The absence of their star player from last season is one of the reasons for the Swan’s poor show this term and Michu’s presence may again lift the morale of the team. Having made two substitute appearance, the Spaniard started the last match against Arsenal and was present on the field for more than an hour. At £8.4, he is still a very high priced option with no guarantee to success, but his next two games against Norwich and Hull may see him getting some points and making up for his long absence.

His performances against big teams and especially against Arsenal last season were highly spoken and Michu has got what it takes to surprise anyone on his given day.

Sterling missing on gametime

Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers has experimented with the squad on numerous occasions and in his latest formation, Raheem Sterling is sitting out on the bench with Brazilian Coutinho forming the tip of the diamond. Joe Allen has become a regular to provide the stability in the midfield and so far it is working well for the club. But it has not been too good for the Fantasy Premier League managers, as Sterling was one of the most important players in the game. His price of £6.0m and his knack of scoring goals made him a FPL favourite. Now it is better to get rid of him fast than to wait for his value to decrease.

Sunderland have lost the touch

The likes of Adam Johnson, Jack Colback and Vito Mannone were racking up points for Sunderland up until recently and it is time to give them up. After some wonderful performances, Sunderland are now again lagging behind other rivals and have managed just a single point from the last five matches. Gus Poyet is unable to inspire them any further and with a tough set of fixtures, they look to go down this season. Adam Johnson’s fantasy appeal has decreased and so has his points. The price of £6.5m now looks for too much for him with much better options available in the market.
