Aston Villa opinion: The Villans should sign Said Benrahma

According to a report in the Sun. Aston Villa have been linked with move for Said Benrahma. Benrahma currently plies his trade for Championship side and is a versatile forward, who is also capable of playing as a winger on either flank. The reported bid is £14million.

Last season, he made 38 appearances in the championship, where he scored 10 goals and contributed to 15 assists. Benrahma was Brentford’s primary creative player and dazzled with his close control, dribbling and creativity.

Benrahma showed potential at Nice in Ligue 1 in the 2016/17 season but never elevated himself and has had a second chance at the Championship to show what he’s capable.

Benrahma will be hoping that he can push this move to Aston Villa so that he can fulfil his potential at the highest level. The report from the Sun suggests that Benrahma is desperate for the move and Villa should be all over this.

With Anwar El Ghazi already purchased and Benrahma to add to that, Villa should have no worries about their flanks for the foreseeable future.

Villa have been very active in the transfer market since their playoff win. They’ve released senior players like Glen Whelan and Mile Jedinak while Axel Tuanzebe and Tammy Abraham have returned to their parent clubs.

However, they’ve got Tyrone Mings to sign a new contract after the Englishman was loaned out to Villa Park and was one of their most important players. Holding on to him, John McGinn and Jack Grealish was imperative for Villa.

Villa will be looking at Wolves for inspiration but will be aware that recruitment alone can’t solve everything with Fulham being an example of when it can go horribly wrong.

Villa have added a lot of new players and the team might look very different from the side that played in the Championship last season.

Conclusion

Benrahma will know all about Villa and Villa will know the same about him.

With new signing Wesley, Anwar El Ghazi and Benrahma on the same side, Villa will definitely be a great attacking force. This is a move that should work for all parties.
