French newspaper L’Equipe posted an article on Sunday featuring transfers related to north London side Arsenal, as many Premier League sides look to take full advantage of the summer window. Arsene Wenger’s side are now being linked with moves for two French mid-fielders, but the deals are not certain at the moment.
Morgan Schneiderlin was the first name on the list, the French international who was likely to sign for the Gunners until a few weeks ago. However, now Manchester United are quite eager to announce his arrival at Old Trafford.
The Sun had claimed that a medical could have happened last Monday, though the BBC preferred Wednesday for an announcement of the deal and the Telegraph said it would be confirmed by the end of the week, yet nothing happened.
L’Equipe further added that that Arsene Wenger’s side have now reignited their interest, with the Saints looking for a price of around €30m for Schneiderlin.
The French newspaper also said that Arsene Wenger is still looking at Moussa Sissoko as a potential target, though a move to Anfield is more likely at the moment, as it seems.
