Why Arsene Wenger Should Definitely Pursue This Serie A Speed Merchant In This Window

You always need to be prepared to lose your biggest stars during the summer, so you must have at least a couple of backup plans under your sleeve if you feel like you’re in danger of getting your best players stolen by another club.

A team which is currently on the hunt for more offensive talent due to the possibility of losing their main players is Arsenal, as there have been several reports that state that neither Alexis Sanchez nor Mesut Ozil will continue to play at the Emirates Stadium to face the upcoming season – mainly due to the rebel in agreeing on a new contract.

The main concern for Arsene Wenger right now is to fill Alexis’ void, as the Chilean winger has been the most determinant player for the Gunners since being acquired from FC Barcelona, where he felt disrespected and asked to be moved.

So now, Alexis is still ambitious and is keen to prove his value even at a bigger state, so he’s very likely to make a huge move to a club with a bigger profile to have a starring role, and he’s been strongly linked with a move to the Italian side Juventus FC.

Looking at this situation, Arsene Wenger is reportedly eyeing a move for AC Milan’s standout M’ Baye Niang in case Alexis winds up leaving the club, as Wenger feels like he could be a suitable replacement for the talented South American. But, would he actually be able to fill Alexis’ shoes?

Niang has been one of the most impressive players in the Italian Serie A over the course of the year, maybe alongside another Arsenal target, Torino’s Andrea Bellotti. Considering that he’s just 22 years old, he could be an outstanding addition for any Premier League side at the time with sites like  offering fantastic odds that the player could turn out to be a real gem.

The French attacker has made 17 appearances (13 starts) for a thriving AC Milan team which is determined to return to the elite of European football, managing to score 3 goals to go along with a couple of assists for the Rossoneri over the course of the season.

The left winger is a complete player on the offensive end, constantly drawing fouls from his rivals and thriving to play from the outside to the center of the pitch, creating chances for his teammates with his great crossing ability.

However, he still lacks a lot of skill when it comes to finishing and holding the ball, while his defensive contribution is just inexistent, something that could definitely hurt Arsenal on the break considering the fast pace of the English Premier League.

M’ Baye Niang could provide a great boost off the bench for the Gunners if they wind up signing him, and there’s no doubt about his great offensive talent. Nevertheless, he’s still quite rough and needs a lot of developing to do in order to fill the shoes of a world class player like Alexis Sanchez.

Wenger should definitely pursue a player like this, but if he intends to replace the Chilean, he could do a lot better than Niang, so he better keep looking.
