While Borussia Dortmund and Pierre Emerick Aubameyang both have denied the players move to the Emirates stadium, the Gunners are still linked with the player. The Daily Express reports that the Bundesliga club is quoting about £53.5m (€70) for Aubameyang. Reliable sports Journalist when it comes to Arsenal’s rumours, has already tweeted on the subject confirming the player valuation.

The report from Express also states that Arsenal have closed in on Javier Hernandez since Dortmund is playing hardball for the player. However, Arsenal would have to beat Liverpool if they want to sign the Mexican player.

Further Arsenal are also known to be keeping tabs on Borussia Monchengladbach midfielder Granit Xhaka. The 23 year old player is currently in contract with the German club till 2017 and has a buy-out clause of £25m. The midfielder has been valued at £37.6m by this club and as per reports from Germany’s Bild, Chelsea are also interested in Xhaka’s signature.

“There are always situations where every club has to think of each option,” Max Eberl, Monchengladbach’s sporting director said.

“It [a possible sale of Xhaka] depends partly on our sporting success. It depends on the performances of Granit and of course on the price.”
