Arsenal and Tottenham Enter The Race To Sign Spanish Attacking talent From Villarreal

Share

Recent reports from Talksport has revealed that Arsenal and Tottenham are ready to battle for Villarreal’s midifelder Denis Suarez.

The 22-year-old Spanish is wanted by the Spanish giants FC Barcelona and it is expected that they can trigger £2.5m buy-back clause. Denis had been very instrumental for the Yellow Submarines last season as he bagged 4 goals and also recorded 4 assists to his name.

As both the London will be battling in the Champions League, it is expected that their bosses are looking to strengthen the squad. Arsenal have recently announced the departure of their 3 aging midfielders, and therefore, Wenger will be looking to sign a central midfielder.

Barcelona sold him to Villarreal last summer on a permanent basis – maintaining an option to buy him back for just €3.5m (£2.7m, $3.9m) in case he developed into a star. If Barcelona does activate the clause, Arsenal and Tottenham might find it difficult to bring the star in London.
