Arsenal need a striker, not a midfielder right now. Thus the interest of the Gunners for N’Golo Kante is a little surprising. Nonetheless Kante is pretty much sure to leave Leicester City and it will be interesting next week as the whole football world will focus on his next move thanks to the completion of the Euros.
According to The Mirror the Gunners are not alone in the race. The likes of Real Madrid, Juventus and PSG are also in the running. Another shocking entry to the competition has been Shanghai SIPG, currently managed by Sven Goran Eriksson. The Chinese club apparently made a bid of £35 million for the player already shooting up the price in the event of a bidding war.
The player had a magnificent season last year and has been the engine that powered Leicester’s siege to the title. The 25 year old is yet to reject the move to China and it will be interesting to see if the European clubs will be able to convince him to stay.
