Arsenal Make Contact With Wonder Kid Midfielder From Brazil

Share

Arsenal seem to be shopping in South America this season. We have already brought you the news about Arsenal chasing Gabriel Barbosa which has been made public by the player’s agent.

Now there are reports from UOL, another Brazilian website that Arsenal are targeting another wonderkid Maycon from Corinthians. According to the reports, Arsenal have been tracking him for several years but only now have they decided to make a move. The 18 year old Brazilian made his senior debut for the club in February and since then has made 11 appearances for the club. The report also said that the Gunners are following the footsteps of Juventus who signed Matheus Pereira from Corinthians for £1.6 million.

Arsene Wenger is obviously trying to hit two birds with one stone. Firstly ensure that the Gunners land Maycon and not other clubs and secondly get him at a bargain price. Good move Wenger!
