Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger is looking to bring in Atletico Madrid star Lucas Hernandez into the Gunner.

Reports suggest that Wenger is trying to patch his backline this season, which has suffered from inconsistency from Per Mertesacker and Gabriel. Thus, Wenger is looking to replace Mertesacker with Hernandez.

The Frenchman is considering a move for Hernandez, who is struggling in Atletico’s first team, which he broke into recently, having competition the likes of Jose Maria Gimenez, Diego Godin, and Stefan Savic in Diego Simeone’s squad. Thus, Hernandez will be ready to make a move out of the club.

However, Arsenal are not the only ones pursuing the player, the Gunners are set to face competition from Lyon, the Ligue 1 Outfit who is also interested in signing the 20 year old player.

Hernandez has made 15 appearances into the first team and is yet to make his first senior goal this season.
