Arsenal Linked With A 25-Year Old Destroyer And A 26-Year Old Speedster

Latest from the rumour mills reports that Arsenal are Manchester City are ready to battle it out for Borussia Dortmund striker Robert Lewandowski this January. Although Lewendowski is bound to join Bayern Munich after his current contract with Dortmund expires this January, City and Arsenal have been alerted with claims that the Polish striker’s proposed move may not be a done deal yet.

Having missed to sign Demba Ba on the deadline day, it is clear that Wenger looked to sign another striker in the Summer window and may try to land Lewendowski this January. The Gunners spent £42.4 million on Ozil this summer and showed the world that they are ready to spend big, so there is every reason for Arsenal fans to believe that it might happen again.

The likes of Luis Suarez, Wayne Rooney whom Arsenal pursed in the summer, may likely to stick with their current clubs. Dortmund who have previously claimed that they don not wish to sell their star to the rivals, may try to cash in on the 25-year old striker if they receive the right amount instead of seeing him leave on a free transfer at the end of this season.

In other news, Atletico Madrid star Arda Turan who was previously linked with the Gunners have been again linked. The Express reports window, but failed to land him. Latest from the Turkish paper Milliyet has it that Arsenal and Liverpool are both looking at Turan with a view to trying to buy him in January. The same report also claims that both the Premier League clubs have send their scouts to have an eye on the winger.
